Natasha’s favourite healthy kitchen & home appliances, tools, and products
Juicer
HUROM Slow Juicer – This is a great juicer for juicing vegetables, greens and even wheatgrass. It’s easy to use and clean, and yields a lot of juice from the produce.
Blenders
KITCHENAID 5-Speed Diamond Blender – I’ve used this high speed blender for years and am super happy with it. I mainly use it for making smoothies and soups, it blends everything well and never heats up.
CUISINART Hand Blender – This is a handy blender to have when you want to puree a soup without having to transfer it into a a blender, instead you use the handheld blender directly in the pot or bowl. Perfect for puréeing soups and salad dressings too.
Food Processors
CUISINART Mini Prep – Great for chopping and mixing smaller items, especially good for small portions of dips, salsas, and energy balls.
CUISINART Food Processor – My favourite kitchen appliance! I use this for chopping & slicing vegetables for salads, making sauces and dips, and making healthy treats.
Dehydrator
EXCALIBUR 9 Tray Dehydrator – Great for making healthy snacks and treats like dehydrated vegetable crackers, kale chips, dehydrated vegetables and fruit, homemade sprouted nuts and seeds, etc. Using a dehydrator you can make tasty flour-less and oil-free foods and snacks. I like the Excalibur Dehydrator because you can make A LOT of food at once, there’s plenty of space if you ever want to put a bowl or dish inside the dehydrator to warm something up, and it’s so easy to clean.
Strainers
Nut Milk Bag – I love nut milk bags, not only for making homemade nut and seed milks, but also for straining my juices. Homemade nut milks are so much better than store bought packaged nut milks, and if you’re trying to go dairy-free for clear skin, nut milk is a better alternative than soy milk.
Fine Mesh Strainer – Even the best juicers can sometime make juice that is slightly pulpy. I either use a fine mesh strainer or nut milk bag to strain my juices. I find even the strongest vegetable juice tastes so much smoother and better when it’s strained.
Laundry Detergents
SEVENTH GENERATION Natural laundry Detergent – Free & Clear – I always use unscented eco detergents. I find the mainstream laundry detergents are too harsh for my skin.
Soap Nuts – Great for super sensitive skin. This is an all-natural soap, here in Bali they soap nut trees grow wild in the jungle and you can take the fresh nut off the tree and apply water and it will lather immediately. You can’t get a more natural soap than this! You can use soap nuts as a laundry detergents as well as a household cleaner.
