Natasha’s favourite natural body + hair care products

Body Soap

DR. BRONNER’S Pure Castile Soap – This soap has been a staple in my body care routine for over a decade. I like the simple unscented version.

Body Oil & Moisturizers

Almond Oil – Almond oil is my absolute favourite body oils to really get in and moisturize your skin. This is a perfect oil for those dry cracked skin, and winter months where your skin might need extra moisture.

BUTTER BABES Body Butter – I absolutely love this body butter. It’s rich and moisturizing, absorbs well, and the chocolate/cacoa scent is mesmerizing.

LIVING LIBATIONS Vanilla Best Skin Ever – This oil blend smells divine, and leave your skin soft and smooth.

WELEDA Skin Food – A rich moisturizer for dry skin. For easy application, I like to mix it with a little oil which makes it easier to rub into the skin and absorb better.

P’URE PAPAYA CARE Papaya Skin Food – A natural and non-toxic alternative to vaseline or petroleum jelly. Great for treating dry, cracked, irritated skin. I like using this on dry elbows, knees, chapped lips, and dry spots on my face.

Dry Skin Brushing

Dry Skin Brush – This is by far the best body exfoliation tool to keep your skin healthy, smooth and firm. Once you bring it into your daily routine, it’s hard to stop!

LIVING LIBATIONS Verve Tonic – If you’re a big fan of dry skin brushing, you need to get this Lymph+Tonic essential oil blend. Add 2-3 drops to your dry skin brush and it will help increase blood circulation and detoxification. I find the Lymph+Tonic takes my whole dry skin brushing ritual to a whole new level.

Deodorant

MEOW MEOW TWEET Baking Soda Free Grapefruit Deodorant Cream – This deodorant really works, trust me, in hot humid Bali, it works! Just make sure you apply it over your entire arm pit and rub it in. I wear a lot of black and as long as I rub it into my skin, it never marks my clothes.

Perfume & Essential Oil Blends

LIVING LIBATIONS Gardenia Perfume – This is my ultimate FAVOURITE perfume. If you love gardenia flowers like I do, this perfume is a must. I love this perfume so much, I even wear it to sleep.

ANNMARIE SKIN CARE Love – Pure Essential Oil Blend – This is a beautiful essential oil blend, the Moroccan Rose Absolute is divine, always uplifting and puts you in the most perfect place. You can add the essential oil blend to a carrier oil to use as a body oil, or use it neat as a perfume on your wrists (that’s what I do!).

Hair Care

LIVING LIBATIONS Seabuckthorn Shampoo – This shampoo really works at cleaning your hair and scalp without stripping or being too drying. Unlike many natural shampoos, I find it rinses out very easily, never leaves a residue, it lathers a bit which is nice, and a little goes a long way. The scent is light and fresh, and the more I use it the healthier my scalp feels.

LIVING LIBATIONS Shine On Hair Conditioner – This conditioner is clean and lightweight, and even works great for thick/coarse hair like mine! It definitely makes your hair shiny and soft without any residues or weighing your hair down.

LIVING LIBATIONS Natural Hair Brush – This is one of my favourite products from Living Libation hair care line. This brush smooths, softens, and polishes the hair by moving the natural oils accumulating on the scalp down the lengths of the hair. I like using the brush on both wet and dry hair. On wet hair, it smooths the hair shaft which prevents your hair from becoming frizzy as it dries. Using it on dry hair, it stimulate the scalp and makes hair soft, manageable, and shiny. The brush is very dense, so it really helps exfoliate the scalp, moving build up and flakes away, and keeps the scalp healthy and clean.

TEK Wooden Bristle Paddle Brush – What a huge difference it makes using a wooden bristle brush. I don’t think I’ll even use a plastic or nylon bristle brush again! The biggest benefits I haven’t notice since switching to a Widu wooden bristle brush is how soft, shiny and smooth my hair is. The brush won’t contribute to frizz or breakage, and you can also use it to massage your scalp to stimulate circulation and to keep your scalp and hair healthy and flake free.

BKIND Hand Balms – Looking for a finishing product to define waves, curls and smooth frizz? BKIND Hand Balms are my ABSOLUTE favourite hair styling product (who would of thought using a balm to define and style your hair?!). But it’s the best. Unlike oils that can make hair look stringy and “oily” and attracts dirt and dust, using a dab of hand balm on dry hair will smooth frizz, add lustrous shine and define waves and curls giving your hair a more polished look. Plus it adds weightless moisture and coats the lengths of the hair which help to protect and nourish dry or damaged hair. I’ve also found that my hair doesn’t get oily or dirty as quickly as using hair oils for styling. A must try for frizzy and unruly hair!

Tooth & Gum Care

LIVING LIBATIONS Frankincense Fresh Truth Toothpaste – Great effective natural toothpaste for sensitive teeth and gums. My mouth and teeth always feel fresh after using it.

LIVING LIBATIONS Happy Gums Clay Toothpaste – My teeth and gums are sensitive, and this toothpaste is a little more coarse than the Frankincense toothpaste, but I find this one helps reduce tartar build up and keeps my teeth bright and white, so I tend to alternate between both toothpastes.

LIVING LIBATIONS Tooth Powder Polish – Once a week I use this this tooth polish to keep my teeth white and stains at bay.

LIVING LIBATIONS Happy Gum Drops – I add a drop of this essential oil blend to my toothbrush when I brush my teeth, plus another drop on my dental floss. I find the complete Living Libations natural tooth care line to be outstanding in keep my teeth and gums healthy, fresh, and decay-free.

DR TUNG’S Smart Floss – Best dental floss. It’s strong, yet soft, and doesn’t break or shred.

Sunscreen For Body

SUNTEGRITYSPORT Mineral Sunscreen SPF 30 (Tinted – Unscented) – This is by far my favourite sunscreen for the body. It has a buttery texture making it super moisturizing and I like that it’s tinted so it’s fast and easy to apply and no white cast. It’s also water resistant, perfect for the beach.

I am prone to getting breakouts and rashes on my chest, so on that one area of my body, I use Suntegrity Mineral Sunscreen For Body SPF 30 (Unscented) on my chest. This sunscreen isn’t as rich as the Suntegrity Sport Sunscreen, making it more compatible with acne prone skin. In general, I find mineral/zinc-based sunscreens really help soothe and balance acne prone skin, so I use this sunscreen daily not only to protect my skin from the sun, but also to keep my skin clear and balanced. This Mineral Sunscreen For Body does have a little white cast, so best to work it into your skin and allow a few minutes for it to dry down.
